3/20/2018 Zay Jones, Buf, WR
Jones has been arrested in Los Angeles following a naked, bloody argument with his brother, Vikings receiver Cayleb Jones. A police spokesman says the player, whose legal name is Isaiah Avery Jones, was arrested Monday night after officers responded to a disturbance in downtown Los Angeles. Officer Luis Garcia says Jones was breaking glass doors and windows when officers arrived and was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism.

Analysis: Jones was the first of Buffalo's two second-round picks in 2017 after completing a prolific career at East Carolina. He set an FBS record with 399 career catches and broke the single-season reception mark with 158 in his final season. The production didn't carry over into Jones' rookie season as he struggled in attempting to take over the Bills' No. 2 receiver spot. He finished tied for third on the team with 27 catches and fourth with 316 yards. He added two TDs.

Analysis: Jones had 27 catches for 316 yards and two TDs as a rookie last season after the Bills selected him in the second round of the 2017 draft.
3/20/2018 Kyle Fuller, Chi, CB
The Bears have matched the Packers' offer sheet for Fuller and signed the cornerback to a four-year contract worth a reported $56 million.

Analysis: The Bears weren't about to lose Fuller to a division rival for nothing after placing the $12.9 million transition tag on him earlier this month. A first-round pick of Chicago in 2014, Fuller struggled his first three seasons before breaking out with a strong 2017 campaign in which he recorded two interceptions and 22 passes defensed.
3/20/2018 Jonathan Cooper, SF, G
The 49ers have signed Cooper to a one-year contract.

Analysis: Cooper has bounced around the league since being taken by Arizona with the seventh overall pick of the 2013 draft, but was a serviceable 13-game starter at left guard for the Cowboys last season and should have a chance to hold down a similar role in San Francisco.
3/20/2018 Morgan Burnett, Pit, S
The Steelers have filled a void at safety by signing Burnett to a three-year contract. reports that the deal is worth $14.5 million.

Analysis: Burnett joins the Steelers following a productive eight-year run with the Packers in which he started 102 games and averaged over 85 tackles per season. The 29-year-old should maintain his status as a quality IDP defensive back as he takes over for the recently released Mike Mitchell in Pittsburgh.
3/20/2018 Ryan Grant, Ind, WR
Grant has signed a reported one-year, $5 million contract with the Colts, three days after he had a multiyear deal with the Ravens voided for a failed physical.

Analysis: Grant was forced to settle for the short-term deal with Indy after the Ravens red-flagged an ankle injury the former Redskins wideout suffered in the 2017 finale. He's never missed a game in his four-year career, however, and is coming off a season in which he set career highs of 45 catches, 573 yards and five touchdowns.
3/20/2018 Jamize Olawale, Dal, RB
The Cowboys have acquired Olawale from the Raiders in a trade that also involves a swap of late-round draft picks.

Analysis: Ironically, Dallas brings in Olawale to replace Keith Smith after the latter recently signed a two-year contract with the Raiders. Olawale had spent six seasons in Oakland, recording 39 catches for 425 yards and three touchdowns while adding four rushing TDs over 77 total games.
3/20/2018 Marcedes Lewis, Jax, TE
The Jaguars have released Lewis, ending the tight end's 12-year tenure with the team.

Analysis: Jacksonville had picked up a $3.5 million option on Lewis last month, but the money was not guaranteed and the team has since added tight ends Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Niles Paul in free agency. Though the 33-year-old hasn't caught more than 25 passes in any of the last five seasons, he's still a strong blocker who should draw some interest on the open market.
3/20/2018 Allen Hurns, Jax, WR
The Jaguars have released Hurns, a move that will save the team $7 million in 2018.

Analysis: The writing was on the wall for Hurns once the Jaguars brought back Marqise Lee and added Donte Moncrief in free agency. An undrafted find back in 2014, Hurns broke out with 64 catches, 1,031 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2015, but has struggled with injuries and inconsistency since signing a four-year, $40 million extension following that big season.
3/18/2018 Jon Bostic, Pit, LB
The Steelers have signed Bostic to a two-year contract.

Analysis: With Ryan Shazier's career in jeopardy due to a spinal injury, the Steelers were in need of an experienced inside linebacker and Bostic fits the bill. The 26-year-old started 14 games for the Colts last season, recording a career-high 97 tackles along with one sack.
3/16/2018 Caleb Sturgis, LAC, K
The Los Angeles Chargers have signed Sturgis to a two-year deal.

Analysis: Sturgis spent the past three seasons with Philadelphia, but he missed the Eagles' Super Bowl championship run. After winning the starting job, he injured his hip in the regular season opener and went on injured reserve. The University of Florida product spent his first two NFL seasons with Miami. He was outstanding for the Eagles in 2016, hitting 35 of his 41 field goal attempts.
3/16/2018 Kyle Fuller, Chi, CB
Fuller has signed an offer sheet with the Green Bay Packers, according to multiple media outlets, and the Chicago Bears must decide whether to match the offer to retain Fuller. The Bears put the transition tag on Fuller earlier this month with a one-year salary of $12.9 million. That gives the Bears the right to match any offer Fuller gets, and the Bears have five days to make that decision.

Analysis: Fuller has been a starter in all three of his seasons with the Bears and has eight career interceptions. That includes two picks he made while starting all 16 games in 2017.
3/16/2018 Vontaze Burfict, Cin, LB
Burfict is appealing a four-game suspension from the NFL for violating its policy on performance-enhancing substances, the third straight season that he's facing punishment from the league.

Analysis: Burfict was suspended for the first three games of the 2016 season in response to his hit on Pittsburgh's Antonio Brown during the playoffs and his history of egregious conduct. He got another three-game suspension to start last season after his egregious hit on Kansas City running back Anthony Sherman during a preseason game.
3/16/2018 Vinny Curry, TB, DE
The Philadelphia Eagles have released Curry in a cost-cutting move.

Analysis: Curry had 22 sacks in six seasons. He was a full-time starter in 2017, recording three sacks and a career-best 48 tackles.
3/16/2018 Sheldon Richardson, Min, DT
The Minnesota Vikings have signed Richardson.

Analysis: Richardson, the 13th overall pick out of Missouri in 2013 by the Jets, had one sack and 27 tackles last season for Seattle. He spent his first four seasons with New York. Richardson has 286 tackles and 19 sacks in his career. He also has had off-field issues. Richardson served a four-game ban in 2015 for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. He was also suspended for the 2016 season opener for an arrest in Missouri for driving at high speeds and resisting arrest.
3/16/2018 Trumaine Johnson, NYJ, CB
The New York Jets have signed Johnson to a five-year, $72.5 million contract.

Analysis: Johnson, arguably the top free agent at his position, spent his first six seasons with the Rams and had 18 interceptions while establishing himself as one of the best cover cornerbacks in the NFL.
3/16/2018 Karl Klug, Ten, DT
The Tennessee Titans say they are releasing Klug after seven years with the franchise.

Analysis: A fifth-round pick in 2011 out of Iowa, Klug started eight of his 109 games played for the Titans. Klug had 178 tackles, 21 1/2 sacks, 67 quarterback pressures and forced five fumbles. He returned a recovered fumble for a touchdown in 2013 against the Jets. Klug had 26 tackles and 1 1/2 sacks in 15 games last season in his return from a torn Achilles tendon at the end of the 2016 season.
3/16/2018 Ryan Grant, Ind, WR
Grant failed his physical with the Ravens on Friday.

Analysis: Baltimore GM Ozzie Newsome said he withdrew Grant's four-year contract offer following the exam and after consulting with team doctors and outside physicians. "That's not a football decision," Newsome said Friday. "That's a medical condition that I have no control over." Though Grant never missed a game in his four years with the Redskins, Newsome said the physical found an issue with his ankle.
3/15/2018 Alex Smith, Was, QB
The Washington Redskins have the continuity at quarterback they've wanted by signing Smith to a four-year contract extension. Smith was already signed at a salary-cap hit of $17 million for next season. His new agreement agreed to in January and signed Thursday that's worth $94 million with $71 million guaranteed means he's under contract through 2022.

Analysis: The former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback turns 34 in May and will be entering his 13th NFL season. Smith replaces Kirk Cousins as the Redskins' starting quarterback after that relationship ended following six turbulent years. To acquire Smith, the Redskins sent a 2018 third-round pick and promising young cornerback Kendall Fuller to the Chiefs in a trade that became official Wednesday.
3/15/2018 Paul Richardson Jr., Was, WR
The Washington Redskins signed Richardson on Thursday.

Analysis: Richardson had 95 catches for 1,302 yards and eight touchdowns in four seasons with the Seahawks after they drafted him in the second round in 2014. The 25-year-old had 44 receptions for 703 yards and six touchdowns last season.
